Nothing is easier than that! For two people you should calculate about 500 grams of fish. That’s four medium sardines per nose, mouth or person.

Frozen sardines can also be taken. But you should take care that they are not too small and gutted. The head’s usually still on.
Wash, drain and dry the fish. Season 4 cloves of garlic with 2 tablespoons of coarse sea salt and some fresh coriander. Rub the fish with it and let them draw something.

Heat up the grill – in this case we recommend the corn spindles, as the grilling time is relatively short. Rub the cleaned grill grid on top with half an onion.


Put the sardines on the grill – grill for 3-4 minutes, then turn once. Our FLACHwieFLUNDER barbecue tongs are ideal for this, as they can be pushed laterally under the fish like a spatula. Grill again from the other side – done!
